Developer and Operator become default workspace roles, sets of capabilities any workspace can override. Enterprise Edition adds custom roles.
New features
- Capabilities per role: write code, flows and apps at none, compose or full, manage schedules, manage triggers, and page visibility.
- Any workspace overrides what each role allows from Workspace settings > Users > Workspace roles; a field left alone follows the instance.
- Enterprise Edition: define, rename and reorder the instance roles from Instance settings > Workspace roles, and add workspace-only roles.
- Every role picker (add user, invite, auto-add, instance group mapping) offers the workspace roles plus Admin.
- Admins and roles that write code or build flows or apps consume a full seat; every other role consumes half a seat.
